Rooted in the legacy of Black Wall Street, Build in Tulsa is committed to providing opportunity for entrepreneurs who have historically been denied resources and funding.
Phoenix Development Council
The Phoenix Development Council seeks to elevate the community experience of the neighborhood by enhancing public spaces, encouraging local entrepreneurship and creating a destination that celebrates the unique spirit and culture of north Tulsa. By transforming vacant and underused spaces into areas of commerce, culture and community life, and creating walkable streets decorated with art, outdoor spaces and gathering spots that bring together residents and visitors, The Phoenix Development Council will transform the Phoenix District into a bustling business district and a diverse, thriving community.
Peoria Mohawk Business Park
In partnership with the City of Tulsa, Peoria Mohawk Business Park drives economic growth in north Tulsa by establishing skilled, living-wage jobs in north Tulsa and supporting companies committed to revitalization and long-term prosperity for the community. These jobs will help families prosper and are a key driver to complement the housing, education and community wellness investments to create economic prosperity for residents. Companies located within the Park benefit from a range of public and private incentives, along with access to free workforce training programs. A key project, the development of Muncie Power Product’s Tulsa location, has brought quality jobs to north Tulsa and contributed to the economic vitality of the area.
